SIFE USA Announces Leadership Award Recipients

Springfield, Missouri – SIFE USA is pleased to announce Amanda Nicholson of Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY and Amy Schulz of Feather River College in Quincy, CA as this year’s recipients of the Jack Kahl Entrepreneurial Leadership Award for the Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellows of the Year.

This prestigious award honors the Sam Walton Fellows from two colleges/universities who have done the most to advance the SIFE organization during the academic year, made outstanding contributions to SIFE students and the SIFE team on their campus, and supported students with career placement. The awards were presented at the 2011 SIFE USA National Exposition in Minneapolis, MN.

The recipients each receive a commemorative plaque and a fully paid trip to the SIFE World Cup being held this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 3 – 5. The awards are made possible by an endowed contribution made by the adult children of former SIFE Chairman of the Board, Mr. Jack Kahl.

Ms. Nicholson is an Assistant Professor at Syracuse and Faculty Advisor for the Syracuse University SIFE team. Ms. Schulz is an Associate Faculty member at Feather River College, the Director of the school’s Business & Entrepreneurship Center and SIFE Faculty Advisor for the Feather River College SIFE team. Congratulations and thank you to Ms. Nicholson and Ms. Schulz for their tireless efforts in support of their SIFE teams and students.
